During a press conference at the Association of Arkansas Counties in Little Rock, the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP) awarded six Arkansas Coalition Partnership Empowerment (COPE) initiative awardees a total of $150,000.

Each coalition received $25,000 to take park in a personalized training with CADCA that will help strengthen, develop, and prepare them for the federal Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program application in 2026.

Selected coalitions for the DFC grant will receive $125,000 every year.

“With this funding, these coalitions are given the proper tools to succeed in building a Drug-Free Community,” said Tenesha Barnes, deputy director for the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership. “We are proud to get to play a part in their journey, and we look forward to seeing all the ways in which the CADCA program supports them in the coming months.”
